<엔칸토: 마법의 세계> 디즈니다운 연출과 스토리 & OST 가사만족 최상 (스포X, 쿠키X)

디즈니의 뮤지컬 영화가 나와서 바로 보러왔습니다. 바로 "엔칸토: 마법의 세계"
줄거리는 정말 디즈니스럽고 반전없는 스토리입니다. 하지만! 원래 잘 만든 클리셰가 명작아니겠어요? 역시나 이번에도 사람 가슴 울리는 영화로 돌아온 디즈니입니다.

마법능력이 있는 마드리갈 가족 중 유일하게 기적을 받지 못한 미라벨이 마법이 사라지는 가족들을 지키기 위한 이야기.
콜롬비아를 배경으로 만들어졌다. 작은 촛불의 날(12월 7일부터 한달간 성모마리아를 기념하는 콜롬비아의 기념일)이나 등장하는 동물(맥&재규어 등), 소품 등을 알고 보면 더 재미있을 것.
주토피아 제작진이 참여해 개봉 전부터 많은 기대를 받았다.

작중에 나오는 마드리갈 가족의 가계도이다. (집을 나간 이후 말한는게 금지된 브루노가 없는걸 알 수 있다.)
다양한 능력을 가지고 있는 가족 중 미라벨만이 (맨 아래 오른쪽) 아무 마법도 받지 못했다.
특별한 가족들에 비하면 조금 평범하지만 가족을 사랑하는 미라벨은 마법의 촛불과 까시타(마법의 집)을 지키려고 노력한다.
더 완벽한 마드리갈 가족이 되어 마을과 가족을 지켜야 한다는 생각을 가지고 있는 할머니는 엄격해져만 간다.
루아사와 이사벨라는 이런 기대와 부담에 짓눌리고 미라벨은 자신을 초라하게 느낀다.
마드리갈 가족은 마법을 지키고 관계를 회복할 수 있을까?

오프닝 애니메이션

+) 처음 오프닝 애니메이션의 너구리 가족부터 찡한 느낌을 준다. 엔칸토가 가족애를 다루는 영화라는걸 생각하면 좋은 여운을 주면서 시작하는 셈.
대사 하나 없어도 감동을 주는게 역시 디즈니라고 생각하게 된다.

후기

결론부터 말하자면 기대가 200% 충족된 영화였어요. 보는 내내 울었습니다. 애니메이션 보고 잘 안우는데 진짜 힐링받고 왔어요. 스토리보다도 OST의 가사가 정말 공감됐어요. 괜찮다는 말을 달고 살았는데, 사실 안 괜찮았다는걸 깨달았습니다.
(특히 기억에 남는 2곡은 아래 가사 남기겠습니다. 미라벨의 자매인 루이사와 이사벨라의 심리를 담은 노래입니다.)
이 영화는 기대와 부담을 지고 어른이 되어가는 중인 분들이 보면 좋을 것 같습니다. 다른 사람들을 보면서 닮고 싶고, 특별해지고 싶다는 생각을 안 해본 사람은 없을거에요. 특히 그런 사람들이 나와 가까운 사람이라면 더하겠죠. 자랑스럽고 뿌듯하면서도 나의 부족한 모습이 계속 보일거에요. 그렇다면 그 사람들은 완벽한걸까요? 누구보다 강해보이는 사람일수록 그 기대에 부응하기 위해 엄청난 부담감에 시달리고 있을 수도 있습니다. 루이사는 헤라클레스도 케르베로스와 싸우길 원치 않은건 아닐까라고 말하며 자신의 힘에 부담감을 가지죠. 그리고 실수도 작은 틈도 있어선 안된다고 말합니다. 이사벨라는 완벽하고 아름다운 모습을 위해 웃음 뒤에 모든걸 감춘다고 외치죠. 자신의 감정을 마음껏 피워낸 결과는 꾸지람이었습니다.
우리는 악착같이 더 높은 곳을 바라보고 그렇게 되기 위해 노력하는 삶이 당연하다고 생각하며 살아왔습니다. 세상이 원하는 모습이 되기 위해서요. 하지만 그게 정말 나의 모습일까요? 다른 사람의 시선을 벗어던지고, 있는 그대로의 나를 보여줘도 되지 않을까요? 기적은 마법이 아닌 우리의 존재 자체임을 노래하는 영화, 엔칸토였습니다.

엔딩크레딧이 올라가면서 재즈풍 Ost가 2곡 나오는데 둘 다 너무 좋아서 다 듣고 나왔어요. (쿠키영상은 없습니다!)
